I was trying to publish my project to MTurk production via oTree HR, however, I ran into an error as shown below:

"RequestError('An error occurred (RequestError) when calling the CreateHIT operation: This Requester has insufficient funds in their account to complete this transaction. Please visit https://requester.mturk.com/prepayments/new to purchase Prepaid HITs. (1671479824310)')"

Does anyone have any ideas on how to get around it? My MTurk requester account is linked to AWS billing. Therefore, it does not allow me to purchase prepaid HITs. It seems that I cannot opt-out of the AWS billing.

No worries~ Thank you for your message! I was able to solve the issue by contacting MTurk support (using the following link): https://support.aws.amazon.com/#/contacts/aws-mechanical-turk

The error was due to the monthly spending limit in the account. You can address the issue and request a limit increase in the above link. An agent will get back to you via the email you entered.
